About The Sound System

Now you can add multiple layers of sound to your props, characters, sets and displays. With the Minion you can remotely control up to 6 sound effects and audio clips. Add another 6 audio clips by integrating the hacker kit which gives you a total of 12 layers of sound.

These audio clips can be anything from character voice pre-recorded character voices 2 sound effects and music. It’s easy to assign your audio clips by using the minion proprietary software it’s free to download from VFXcreates.com.

The software also allows you to preset each button, giving you options depending on the type of sound clip you’re using.

You can now combine music and sound effects playback with event triggers by adding events on the timeline using free open source audio software like Audacity.

This allows you to set points within an audio clip that can send a signal to the servo and lighting controllers. Now when a certain piece of audio plays you can trigger lighting effects or movement by utilizing servos.

The Minion uses standard mono wav files that you can record yourself or utilize the FX custom audio services. Dominion currently holds up to 5 minutes total of audio clips. We’ve tried a lot of things with the minion and we’re working on a wide range of new products and accessories and we can tell you that five minutes is a lot of audio for this application.
